Tessa

Tessa Cunningham Munroe is a Canadian West Coast Swing Champion with 25 years experience in West Coast Swing and master teacher with 30+ years of teaching/coaching experience including degrees in Education and Kinesiology.

As a founder of the Swing Literacy Development Method, Tessa is the creator of the SwingSoul curriculum and principal teacher-trainer of the teachers at SwingSoul.

Tessa specializes in building a roadmap for your progress, clarifying confusion, and empowering students to #trainWCSsmarter.


Myles

Myles Munroe is a Canadian West Coast Swing Champion with 25+ years of teaching experience and 35+ years dance experience in a wide variety of dance styles, including 6 World Champion titles in UCWDC.

As principal teacher of Swing Literacy Development Method, Myles teaches many of the higher level classes at SwingSoul, but enjoys working with dedicated students at any stage of their journey.

Because of his diverse dance training in all solo styles, Latin, Ballroom, Salsa, Country, and LindyHop, he specializes in helping dancers with experience in other styles translate and convert their skills to make learning WCS faster.


Dalynne 

Locations: Dance For Dessert (DFD), Dance Vancouver Studio, travel available (fee may apply)
Specialties: Beginner-friendly, group coaching, partner connection

Rates: $65 single/couple • $125 group (4–6)

Eric 

Eric leverages his background in Musical Theory, Applied Philosophy of Education, and varied movement practices as he competes in the AllStar division. He loves to meet people wherever they are at in their dance journey, taking the learner's perspective.


Locations: Dance Vancouver Studio (default), travel within Vancouver
Specialties: Beginner–intermediate followers, beginner–advanced leaders, social & competition prep

Rates: Starting at $85/hour

Inna

Inna's performing arts foundation includes 7 years of classical piano and Ukrainian folk dancing, Argentine Tango, Salsa, Bachata, Contemporary, and Hip hop. 

But West Coast Swing has truly captured her heart for the last 11 years. She has consistently trained with Champion-level dancers such as Myles Munroe and Tessa Cunningham Munroe, Sean and Alyssa McKeever, in addition to learning how to be a WCS DJ. She is excited to share her knowledge and approach to this fascinating improvisational partner dance with you to make your dance dreams come true!


Locations: Dance Vancouver Studio (select Mon/Tue/Thu 4–6 PM), Surrey / Lower Mainland (flexible), video reviews available

Celina

Celina is a versatile dancer and instructor who specializes in multiple styles such as West Coast Swing, Salsa, Bachata, Heels, Reggaeton, and more. She is a certified teacher in the Swing Literacy Method and uses her extensive kinesiology, dance, and fitness teaching background when instructing her students. She is committed to helping you move better so that you not only look good, but feel good too.

Locations: Dance Vancouver Studio, One Thousand Rivers, travel available (fee may apply)
Specialties: Beginners, wedding choreography, solo dance skills, multi-style (WCS, Salsa, Heels, Reggaeton)

Rates: $115 and up, (Current SwingSoul students: $95)


FAQ

Do I need a partner?
No. All teachers are competent in both roles. Private lessons can be taken solo, as a couple, or with a small group by request.

Can I book multiple lessons?
Yes, packages and series are encouraged. Ask your instructor about multi-lesson discounts.

What about studio or travel fees?
Some lessons require a studio rental fee or travel fee. These will be discussed when booking.
