Whether you are a dance enthusiast, a DJ, instructor, or new to WCS and just looking for music to practice to, this is a great place to find current, appropriate music to dance to!
Even though West Coast Swing is the most versatile partner dance and can be danced to a huge range of music styles, some styles are more dance-able than others. Some speeds are better than others, and some tempos are more appropriate.
Here we will keep a current list of the most popular songs to dance to in each music style. Please feel free to contribute your music suggestions for the list.
Here is a link to a DJ site which is regularly updated with National WCS DJs’ favourite music

Great songs that aren’t WCS
To DJ’s and those who are curious: You may notice that some of these songs are played at dances intended for West Coast Swing. This can be for one of 2 reasons: 1. To provide a “break” and offer a different dance as an opportunity to so a different dance. 2. To force dancers into frustration as they try to find a Swing beat where none exists.
