Let's get technical!
First, we'll clean up your solo technique for how you pivot, balance, turn, spin, and SLIDE, so you can enjoy these without needing your partner to join in.
Next, we'll get specific about the mechanics of leading and following:
- Multiple spins: in place or travelling
- Decelerated & accelerated turns
- One-foot spins (skater turns)
- Linear & circular slides
We'll alternate content to minimize dizziness / spin fatigue!
Since spin skills are universal and we're damn good at teaching the required techniques, dancers with any level of experience in any style are welcome.

Tout d'abord, nous nettoierons votre technique solo en ce qui concerne la façon dont vous pivotez, vous équilibrez, vous tournez, vous tournez et vous GLISSEZ, afin que vous puissiez profiter de ces activités sans avoir besoin que votre partenaire se joigne à vous.

Puisque les compétences en matière de pirouettes sont universelles et que nous sommes sacrément doués pour enseigner les techniques requises, les danseurs de tout niveau d'expérience dans n'importe quel style sont les bienvenus.

More about Myles & Tessa
Partners for 23 years, Myles & Tessa have dominated the Showcase division and compete at the highest level in improvised competition. They also teach workshops, train teachers, judge and perform on the global circuit.
Tessa has been professionally practicing physical education, movement analysis, and pedagogy for the past 30 years, in the context of multiple sports and dance styles, with degrees in both Kinesiology and Education.
Myles has a lifetime of dance background, including classical solo dance training, Ballroom, Salsa, Theatre Arts, and 6 UCWDC World Championship titles. But he has a soft spot for vintage Swing and is a Balboa hobbyist.
They are creators of a teaching methodology called Swing Literacy which uses the science of learning to help dancers learn WCS faster and train smarter. They specialize in training dance teachers to do use it too, and tour globally delivering this system.
